We are a growing group of civil society (NGO) and local government organisations from all over the world, working together to promote participatory local governance.
Our site offers information on tools which promote citizen participation, a forum for discussions and it holds articles for further reference. Please submit your own case or join us as a Participant.

Citizen participation in local governance is an important theme in policy and development debates. This website aims to contribute to this debate.
The toolkit offers various types of information on citizen participation in local governance. The major part of the website is filled with a database of cases from all over the world. Each case describes a real-life practice on participatory governance, including tools used and lessons learnt. Contact details of persons and organizations involved are provided whenever possible.
