Making Change Happen: Advocacy and Citizen Participation

This is a product of an intensive dialogue on the changing political context for social change work among 50 activists, policy analysts, and researchers from around the world.

The report builds on discussions at the MakingChange Happen conference and highlights cases and experiences of the symposium participants.  Such approaches to advocacy and citizen participation are becoming increasingly important for civil society groups as more attention is paid both to popular participation in decision making and in holding those in power accountable.
